My never ending chore: tying, baiting, unhooking, retying, rebaiting, etc.
I don't mind all the "work" with taking the kids fishing, although usually I don't get much fishing done myself. I look at it as an important investment in their lives, and I hope to reap the benefits of having fishing buddies as they grow older.
