Landyn and I were perch fishing and left a third pole in the pond to go to the other pond that was beside it to fish for more. We kept checking on it and once caught a perch. I threw it back out and kept checking on it and the last time we looked the bobber was under the water, and the pole raced towards the pond. Luckily, the pole caught on some vegetation and Landyn tried to pull it in but needed my help. It fought for a good while but I was finally able to pull it in. I was surprised he was hooked as well as he was. The hook the smallest perch hook I have with about a 1/4 in gap and light line. It was an 8 pound channel cat! Landyn was excited!!
